InSIS Congratulates Prof. Padmanabhan Krishnan on His Feature in CEO India Magazine

The Indian Structural Integrity Society (InSIS) extends its warmest congratulations to Prof. Padmanabhan Krishnan, distinguished academician, researcher and Life Member of InSIS, on being featured as the Cover Story in CEO India Magazine under the title “The Composite Materials Technology Pioneer: Prof. Padmanabhan Krishnan.”

The feature recognises Prof. Krishnan’s remarkable journey spanning nearly four decades in composite materials, mechanics, manufacturing, design and engineering applications. His contributions encompass research, technology development, academic leadership, industrial training and mentoring of the next generation of engineers and researchers.

A significant milestone in his journey was his pioneering role in establishing the Composites Technology Facility at VIT, subsequently supporting academic and industrial requirements. His research has addressed advanced composite materials and structures for aerospace, automotive, marine, defence and civil engineering applications. He has also extended his interests into sustainable materials, biomedical composites, smart materials, additive manufacturing and AI-enabled composite manufacturing.

Beyond research publications and technological achievements, Prof. Krishnan has made a lasting contribution through teaching, mentoring and knowledge dissemination, including guiding PhD scholars and conducting professional development and industry-oriented programmes.
